View 4K images and stream Internet content with the Sony X850B 54.6″ 4K Ultra HD Smart 3D TV. With this LED TV, lower resolution video sources can also be upscaled to near-4K quality. This television has an expansive 54.6″ LED display, and incorporates Sony Motionflow XR 240 technology, which uses the TV’s native 120 Hz refresh rate to reduce distortion on fast-moving images like video games and televised sporting events. Onboard TRILUMINOS technology is designed to produce vivid and life-like colors. This model can access Sony’s Entertainment Network, and has built-in Wi-Fi for wireless music and movie streaming. An Ethernet port is also onboard for wired Internet connections. Integrated Wi-Fi Direct technology allows you to wirelessly share content with other Wi-Fi-Direct-enabled devices such as smartphones and tablets.

Passive 3D technology is built into the TV for viewing 3D content; two pairs of glasses are also included. With one component video and four HDMI inputs, there are multiple options for connecting high-definition video sources. This model supports Audio Return Channel (ARC) and MHL connections over HDMI. The component video input also acts as a hybrid port, which allows you to connect an additional composite video source. Three USB ports are also onboard for connecting multimedia peripherals like flash drives. This TV has a 2-channel 20W speaker system built-in, but you do have the option of using the TV’s audio outputs for connecting to a larger audio system. In addition to a standard remote control, this model also includes a touchpad remote for enhanced navigation.

4K Media

Sony’s 2014 4K Ultra HD TVs are optimized to support the HEVC codec that is needed for a variety of current and forthcoming 4K video services from Netflix and other providers without the need to buy additional update kits. They also support the ability to connect external HDMI media players (sold separately) and the playback of 4K/60p material.
